Green Building Certification
Green Building Certification
Being sustainable is awesome. So is being recognized for it.
There’s a number of reputable certification programs out there, such as LEED, Green Globes, the 2030 Challenge, EnergyStar®, etc. A common theme of these certifications is the need for quantification of the energy efficiency of the building, usually through an energy model.
The G2 team has completed energy models for dozens of these types of projects, and have proven systems for maximizing the points from the energy model. We can also support other credit categories, including those involving indoor air quality, water efficiency, commissioning, energy monitoring, renewable energy, and demand response/grid harmonization. We have worked on the following specific certification program variations:
LEED versions v2009, v4, v4.1 for Building Design & Construction (BD+C) New Construction, Core and Shell, and Data Centers, Interior Design and Construction (ID+C) Commercial Interiors, and LEED Campus
Our specialty includes the following prerequisites & credits:
Energy & Atmosphere (EA) Prerequisites Minimum Energy Performance and Building Level Energy Metering and EA Credits Optimize Energy Performance, Advanced Energy Metering, Demand Response, Renewable Energy Production, Green Power and Carbon Offsets
Integrative Process Regional Priority (RP) Credit
Water Efficiency (WE) Prerequisite and Credits Indoor Water Use Reduction and Cooling Tower Water Use
Indoor Environmental Quality (EQ) Prerequisite and Credits Minimum Indoor Air Quality Performance and Enhanced Indoor Air Quality Strategies
Green Globes for New Construction (NC)
Our specialty includes the following point categories:
Section 3.3 Energy (Energy Performance, Energy Demand, Metering, Measurement and Verification, HVAC Systems and Controls, Renewable Sources of Energy)
Section 3.4 Water (Water Consumption, Cooling Towers, Boilers and Water Heaters, Water Intensive Applications)
