Code Compliance
Code Compliance
G2 Energy Solutions provides energy modeling for performance path energy code compliance. This allows design teams an alternative to COMcheck for compliance, giving design teams more flexibility (e.g. glass area or performance) and / or the ability to reduce construction budgets by reducing or eliminating aspects of the building that minimally impact building energy use (e.g. some applications of insulation.)
We have lots of experience in the following applications of code compliance:
IECC Section C407 (versions 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2021)
IGCC Section 602
ASHRAE 90.1 Chapter 11 (versions 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019)
Our code compliance reports have been accepted under permits in many municipalities, including, but not limited to the following:
Arizona (City of Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale, Chandler, Glendale, Mesa, and Towns of Gilbert, Paradise Valley, and Queen Creek)
Nevada (Las Vegas / Clark County)
State of Montana (Bozeman, Butte, and Missoula)
District of Columbia
New Jersey
While performance path code compliance is our specialty, we also offer other forms of energy code-compliance services:
COMcheck completion
Working with municipalities and organizations in code training
3rd party review services
